 Subject: Panic sound harder?
Does anyone feel Panic's sound has gotten harder in the past few years? I was just listening to Light Fuse, Get Away (which I think is such a solid live disc) and they have such a sweet sound on that disc..lots of djembe drums, and good rhythms...then I put in Live in the Classic City or even the latest Myrtle Beach, and its so much louder and harsher. Am I imagining things? Or have they spread their wings to a different sound ?

I'd agree to a certain extent. I think it was a natural progression for them although if you listen to ball that is pretty chill but can be chalked up to the very close proximity to the passing of mike. it seems to me that Schools is really driving the hard stuff his bass lines are getting crazy. take a listen to imitation leather shoes or thought sausage the bass is raging. I also think with George being a permanent fixture the band needed to redefine their music and go in a slightly different direction. I can continue talking about panic for awhile but I'll conclude, but not before stating that they are the best jamband playing right now and all the doubters should give them another chance.
I bet they play Arleen tomorrow

Ahhhh - every week the plan changes. Some friends asked if I wanted to go to 10k lakes festival - so I might do that instead - Were getting in on Thur and then out on Monday - thats the plan - but I dont have a ticket for Fri as of yet.
Im in Milwaukee btw
